What Happens to Your Car After Scrap Car Removal in Whakatāne?

Step 1: Pickup and transport

After you accept our quote, your car is towed to our dismantling yard in the Whakatāne region. All removals are free and scheduling is easy.

Step 2: Removal of hazardous materials

Your vehicle is inspected and stripped of dangerous fluids and components — engine oil, coolant and brake fluid, petrol or diesel, airbags and batteries — all disposed of in accordance with NZ environmental safety standards.

Step 3: Salvaging reusable parts

Step 4: Shredding and metal recycling

Once stripped, the remaining car shell is crushed and shredded. Metals such as steel, copper and aluminium are separated and melted down for use in new products.

Step 5: Recycling tyres and glass

Tyres are turned into rubber surfaces used in sports fields and playgrounds. Glass is ground down and reused in construction or insulation materials.
